Easy Hoisin Glazed Shrimp

Easy Hoisin Glazed Shrimp

Serves 2

1/4 cup hoisin sauce

1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar

2 teaspoons soy sauce

1/2 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

Salt and black pepper

1 tablespoon vegetable oil (or canola or olive oil)

Toasted sesame seeds, for garnishing

  1. Mix together the hoisin sauce, rice wine vinegar, and soy sauce together in a small bowl. Set aside.
  2. Pat the shrimp dry with a paper towel, and season the shrimp with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp to the skillet, and cook until golden-brown on each side and cooked through, about 45-60 seconds per side. Add the hoisin sauce mixture to the skillet. Saute together for a minute, tossing until the shrimp are coated with the glaze and everything is heated through.
  4. Remove from heat and sprinkle the shrimp with sesame seeds. Serve warm over rice, noodles, or stir-fried veggies.
