Easy Hoisin Glazed Shrimp
1/4 cup hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
2 teaspoons soy sauce
1/2 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
Salt and black pepper
1 tablespoon vegetable oil (or canola or olive oil)
Toasted sesame seeds, for garnishing
- Mix together the hoisin sauce, rice wine vinegar, and soy sauce together in a small bowl. Set aside.
- Pat the shrimp dry with a paper towel, and season the shrimp with salt and pepper.
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp to the skillet, and cook until golden-brown on each side and cooked through, about 45-60 seconds per side. Add the hoisin sauce mixture to the skillet. Saute together for a minute, tossing until the shrimp are coated with the glaze and everything is heated through.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle the shrimp with sesame seeds. Serve warm over rice, noodles, or stir-fried veggies.
