Homemade Salsa


1 can stewed tomatoes, drained

1/4 yellow onion, finely diced

1/2 teaspoon minced garlic

1/4 lime, juiced

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 jalapeno, finely diced (seed the jalapeno for less heat)

2 tablespoons fresh chopped cilantro


  1. Place the tomatoes, yellow onion, garlic, lime, salt, jalapeno, and cilantro in a food processor or blender. Pulse/blend to desired consistency. Refrigerate for an hour to let the flavors meld together (Optional but necessary).
